It is important that all applicants understand that this is a DIY project that we aim to self publish, starting from scratch. That means that initially we are not expecting to be able to pay an artist a fee. As the artist, you will be entitled to a percentage of any money made from the finished product in the future via a cut. A contract will be drawn up for all involved.

Sorry to go straight into that but we are relatively new to this game and do not want to project any illusion that this will immediately be well paid work. We are doing it purely out of love for the art and we are looking for someone who is equally passionate about it to help make this project go far. Obviously we will strive for success and everyone involved will benefit from anything positive that may come of it, but we do need to be 100% clear on where we stand at the moment, which is right at the bottom of the ladder

Description

Calling all budding comic artists!

Very exciting, original and beautifully dark comic book project in need of a gifted artist. This is a serious project created with passion and focus by a team of two very creative new writers. No fees available at present but a percentage of all earnings will be paid to whoever can bring the literary work to life. Colorful, intense and varied characters along with a great plot allow for some seriously good fun and the potentional for great success!

Requirements

The story deals with some phycological horror and human relationships of quite a dark nature. To project this ambience we are looking for a style similar to Steve Dillon (Preacher) in terms of how the faces portray emotion, and also artists like Mike Mignola (Hellboy) and Frank Miller (Sin City) for a certain degree of simplicity, using quite heavy shading and light contrasts to build images.
