Description
You would serve as the Project Engineer for one or more major civil works and/or military construction projects assuring contractor?s fulfills obligations and materials and workmanship are of acceptable quality and conform to all requirements. You would represent the resident engineer at Quality Control (QC) phase inspections and provide input based on contract requirements. You would study and interpret plans and specifications to resolve disagreements, initiate contract modifications as required and review and analyze proposals of less than $100,000.00 submitted by contractors for field changes to contract plans and specifications and negotiate with contractors on field changes. You would follow up on change orders and upon receipt of approved change orders and check revised drawings. You would perform a variety of other construction management, contract administration, office engineering and review contractor pay requests.

Requirements
# SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have experience with contract administration, construction management, quality control inspections and construction contract management.
# One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.
# Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
